Luxury Lifestyle Awards: Congratulations to Peppers Seminyak for winning the Luxury Lifestyle Award for Best Luxury Villa Resort. How does this recognition reflect the resort’s ambition to delivering an exclusive luxury experience in Bali? 

Jan Kroeckel: The team and I are incredibly proud to receive this award. Our ambition is to be known as the go-to address for a luxury villa resort in Seminyak & in Bali and receiving the Luxury Lifestyle Award for Best Luxury Villa Resort reaffirms our commitment to providing an exemplary customer experience in lush & luxury surroundings and with a Balinese hospitality that truly comes from the heart. 

LLA: Peppers Seminyak is known for its personalized service. Can you share how the team ensures that every guest feels uniquely valued and how this approach contributes to the overall guest experience? 

JK: I am very blessed to work alongside an incredible team here at Peppers Seminyak. We are a small boutique resort with 52 villas, so we really take the time to get to know our guests. Here, you are not just another number at our resort, but we truly will make you feel like at home. The service that we provide really comes from our heart and nothing fills us more with pride than seeing guests returning year after year and staying with us during their vacation in Bali. 

LLA: The resort offers villas with private pools. How do the design and layout of these villas enhance the sense of tranquility and exclusivity that guests seek during their stay? 

JK: All our villas are very generous in size and come with well-appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, a large living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The private swimming pool, up to 10m in length, is surrounded by tropical gardens, sun loungers and a gazebo making our villas the perfect place to enjoy and reconnect with family and friends. With our large outdoor areas in the villa, we regularly organize private in-villa BBQ. A private chef and a service team member will tailor a menu to the guests’ needs and will look after them throughout the evening – creating truly memorable moments of your Bali holiday.  

LLA: Your resort features a world-class gymnasium overlooking a 35-meter rock pool. How important are these types of amenities in creating a luxury experience for guests? 

JK: Having a well-appointed gym, in addition to a spa, a kids club, and 24/7 room service among other facilities is part of what sets Peppers Seminyak apart from stand-alone villas. I believe these days everyone is more health conscious and people want to keep up with their fitness regiments even when on holidays. Our fitness is accessible 24 hours a day so one can work out whenever it suits them. We recently upgraded all our cardio machines to the latest LifeFitness machines and will add by the end of 2024 a sauna and ice bath wellness facility to complement our gym and spa area. 

LLA: Peppers Seminyak emphasizes creating memorable connections with guests. Can you provide examples of how the resort engages guests emotionally and makes their stay truly unforgettable? 

JK: All team members at Peppers Seminyak are highly engaged with our guests. This starts from the reservation process to our pre-arrival checks where we “listen” to any information we may get from our guests that would enable us to personalize and make their stay truly memorable. But it does not stop there. During their stay, our team continues to engage with our guests at all levels. From the buggy drivers that pick you up at your villa, to our team in the restaurant and our Guest Experience team, and everyone else, all staff at Peppers Seminyak are sincerely interested in our guests and their experience with us. I feel truly blessed to work with such an engaged team that makes creating memories seem so easy.  

LLA: The ability to customize dining and spa experiences is a hallmark of Peppers Seminyak. How do these personalized offerings elevate the experience and cater to the specific needs of your guests? 

JK: Being a boutique villa resort we pride ourselves in taking a very personalized approach to engage with our guests. We do offer many customized and personalized activities. This ranges from a personalized cooking class in our restaurant for the whole family, a cocktail master class for a group of friends in the privacy of their villa, a private in-villa BBQ to celebrate a birthday to an individual yoga class on our roof top garden, or a personal workout session with a world-class coach. To be able to tailor-make experiences for our guests and to create truly unforgettable memories is something we take a lot of pride in. 

LLA: Bali is a highly competitive market for luxury resorts. What do you believe sets Peppers Seminyak apart from other luxury accommodations in the region? 

JK: Peppers Seminyak is the only resort in the area – perhaps in all of Bali – that has a large inventory of not only one- and two-bedroom pool villas, but also 3, 4, and 5-bedroom pool villas while at the same time providing all the comforts one would expect from a 5-star resort, such as 24/7 room service, world-class gym & spa facility, kids club, a restaurant and bar and much more. Being able to relax with family and friends in the privacy of our own private pool villa while having access to 5-star facilities and impeccable service sets us apart from other luxury resorts. 

LLA: Looking ahead, how do you plan to continue evolving the guest experience at Peppers Seminyak to maintain its reputation as a leading luxury villa resort in Bali? 

JK: We are always looking for ways how we can innovate both our service and our facilities. By the end of the year, we will extend our wellness facilities to include an ice bath and a sauna. We are also investing in new technologies, and currently, all TVs in the villas are being upgraded to smart TVs with full IPTV capabilities – making casting from your phone to the TV a seamless process.  I also believe, it is important to invest back into your staff and we do so by providing trainings and seminars for them on a regular schedule, so they continue to be motivated and engaged with our guests as the staff are truly the best asset that Peppers Seminyak has.
