Founded in February 2008, UAE-based Zaya is a boutique developer specializing in exclusive high end real estate. The Company is a joint venture between Tasameem Real Estate and Assas LLC who bring over 15 years of experience in delivering world-class real estate. The combined portfolio of the joint venture partners exceeds US$9 Billion. Launched in May 2008, Zaya’s first project, Nurai, is a private island in the Arabian Gulf, combining tranquility and seclusion just minutes away from Abu Dhabi. The private island is a development of 11 beachfront estates, 12 water villas and one boutique luxury hotel of 32 beach villas and 15 beach houses. In developing Nurai, Zaya is working in partnership with some of the world’s most renowned architects, designers, consultants and brands such as AW2, and Cafe Del Mar. Zaya is headed by Female Emirati Nadia Zaal, Co-founder & CEO, who was the driving force behind the US$2 billion Dubai-based Al Barari project; and who led one of the region’s largest IPOs for the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company. She also sat on the board of Taweelah Asia Power Company, which closed the largest energy financing deal in the Gulf. Zaya’s international partnership has expertise in business management, strategy and planning, accounting and finance, marketing, economics, civil and industrial engineering as well as experience in the luxury sector.
