TOP 100 Restaurants
Perched along the picturesque Singapore River within the rejuvenated Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, SanSara offers an elevated fine-dining journey through the vibrant heart of North Indian cuisine. Drawing its name from the Sanskrit word meaning “to flow,” SanSara is a dialogue between culinary heritage and contemporary refinement.
Led by Master Chef Pannalal Nath, whose 25-year career spans the culinary regions of North India, SanSara presents a menu steeped in the richness of Awadhi cuisine. Influenced by Mughal, Turkish, and Persian legacies, his creations balance tradition with modern presentation—each dish a narrative of spices, textures, and aroma. Signature offerings such as the melt-in-the-mouth Gosht Ki Galouti, fiery Dungar Laal Maas, or the indulgent Shahi Gosht Dum Biryani embody the restaurant’s sophisticated yet soulful approach. Even the vegetarian options, like Sarson Ka Saag with Makki Di Roti, echo nostalgic, regional charm.
The ambience matches the menu’s poetic flow. With serene riverfront views, soft lighting, and minimalistic décor that honors Indian elegance without excess, SanSara provides a dining space that is both calming and evocative. The experience is further enriched by attentive service, expert wine and cocktail pairings—including seasonal Indian whisky flights and signature drinks like the Old Mumbai and craft Nimbu Pani.
SanSara has quickly earned acclaim, being named one of the Luxury Lifestyle Awards’ Top 100 Restaurants of the World, and celebrated by both TripAdvisor and Tatler Asia for its authenticity and immersive culinary experience. In July 2024, it was proudly awarded TripAdvisor’s “Best Indian Restaurant” in Singapore, just a year after opening.
After a brief renovation closure from May to July 2025 as part of the hotel’s broader refresh, SanSara reopened on 1 August with anticipated enhancements to both menu and setting.
At its core, SanSara is a celebration of regional history, rich flavors, and meaningful hospitality. Whether for a business lunch, romantic dinner, or festive occasion, it remains a destination where North Indian tradition flows effortlessly into Singapore’s cosmopolitan dining scene.
