Since opening its doors in London in 2012, Chamisse Restaurant has developed a distinctive presence in the city’s dining scene, bringing the flavors and hospitality of Lebanon to a diverse international clientele. Located on Grays Inn Road, the restaurant is led by owner Rabih Moufarrej and Executive Chef Elias Choueiry, with authentic Lebanese culture forming the foundation of its culinary identity.
Chamisse takes a fresh, considered approach to Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine. Dishes are prepared using carefully selected ingredients, including British meat and locally produced fruit and vegetables. The menu moves from traditional favorites such as Warak Enab, Cheese Rikakat, Hoummos, and Aubergine Rahib to the Chamisse mixed grill and charcoal-grilled seabass, followed by desserts including Ousmallieh and Baklawa.
While tradition remains important, the restaurant also responds to contemporary dining preferences. An extensive selection of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options allows guests with different dietary requirements to experience the breadth of Lebanese cuisine without moving away from the restaurant’s established culinary direction.
Hospitality at Chamisse is designed to feel personal and welcoming. Over the years, the restaurant has hosted families, business diners, private celebrations, and guests from numerous professional and cultural backgrounds. Its catering service extends this experience beyond the restaurant, providing Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine for corporate occasions, family gatherings, and celebrations.
Chamisse has attracted recognition from a range of publications, awards, and industry organizations, including Time Out Magazine, Evening Standard, Restaurant Critic Magazine, LifeLux Magazine, the Good Food Award, British Restaurant Awards, and Dubai International Dining Awards.
In 2026, Chamisse Restaurant reached another international milestone when it was selected among Luxury Lifestyle Awards’ TOP 100 Restaurants of the World. The recognition places the London restaurant within a global selection of distinguished dining establishments.
More than a decade after its establishment, Chamisse remains closely connected to the principles on which it was built: freshly prepared food, Lebanese culinary heritage, thoughtful guest care, and an inclusive approach to dining. Through its menu and hospitality, the restaurant continues to offer London diners an authentic expression of Lebanese culture.
