Philip R. Weiser, Founder and CEO of Carlton International, is a seasoned entrepreneur whose career spans the worlds of luxury hospitality and high-end real estate. A well-travelled and multilingual New Zealander, Philip studied in Lausanne, Switzerland, before beginning his professional journey in Bermuda and later the United States, where he held executive positions within an international hotel corporation. His career then took him to the United Kingdom, where he was appointed International Marketing Director for one of the world’s largest hotel groups—a role that refined his global business acumen and leadership expertise.

Driven by entrepreneurial vision, Philip launched a successful company in London specializing in luxury furnished apartment and penthouse rentals, identifying a growing niche in the hospitality market as an alternative to traditional hotels. Building on this success, he relocated with his family to the French Riviera, where he transitioned into luxury real estate and property development.

In 1995, Philip founded Carlton International, the first brand within the Carlton Group, now established across the Côte d’Azur and Portugal. Under his leadership, the company has become synonymous with professionalism, discretion, and bespoke service.
