Vieira de Moura Architects is a Portuguese architecture firm whose rapid emergence on the global stage reflects both ambition and depth. Founded in 2021, the studio has achieved in a few years what many practices take decades to build. The firm is grounded in over twenty years of professional experience through Architect Hugo Moura, whose extensive work across Portugal, Spain, and Brazil provides the foundation for the studio’s design maturity and technical strength. 

Since its inception, Vieira de Moura Architects has expanded at an impressive pace. By 2022, the firm’s portfolio broadened to include projects in Spain and Brazil, and by 2023, its scope extended further into hospitality, healthcare, and sports architecture. The studio’s growing international presence was marked by its first Middle Eastern commission—a proposal for the Qatar Educational University—reflecting its readiness to operate in new and demanding global markets. Today, the firm manages projects in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Qatar.

The firm’s portfolio includes distinguished residential works such as Casa Fortaleza, Casa das Figueiras, Casas Lemos, and Villa Pau; hospitality concepts including JJ Glamping; and complex industrial developments such as the 12,000 sqm MAREDEUS Frozen Food Factory. Operating from Loulé, Vieira de Moura Architects continues to expand its global reach, driven by purposeful design and a commitment to shaping spaces that contribute positively to the built environment.
