The client’s brief called for a contemporary multi-level residence that includes a basement for driver accommodation and storage, a ground floor dedicated to reception, dining, and living areas with direct access to an open pool area, and upper levels featuring a master suite, four additional bedrooms, a private gym, and a rooftop garden.

Arraya’s full design and construction services ensured that every aspect of The Ribbon House was realized with precision. The architecture embraces clean volumes and sculptural massing, centered around a private courtyard with a narrow reflective pool that channels natural light into the home while preserving privacy—an essential consideration in the Gulf’s urban context.

Sustainability was integral to the design. Passive cooling strategies, high-performance glazing, thermally efficient materials, and deep shading were employed to reduce energy use. The team also selected locally sourced materials and native drought-resistant landscaping to minimize environmental impact.
