Millennium Al Masar Hotel Jeddah is a contemporary luxury hotel that has embedded sustainability into its operations from the outset, proving that environmental responsibility and five-star hospitality can work hand in hand. Opened in 2024 in Jeddah, the hotel combines modern guest comfort with a structured sustainability strategy focused on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction and responsible resource use. Its approach is driven by measurable systems rather than isolated initiatives, helping the property continuously monitor and improve its environmental performance.

A major part of this strategy is the hotel’s use of smart technology. Guest Room Management Systems automatically regulate lighting and climate according to occupancy, while a central Building Management System monitors and optimises facilities across the property. Solar energy is used for hot water production and selected lighting, and motion sensors reduce unnecessary electricity consumption in public spaces. A gray water treatment plant enables water to be recycled for toilet flushing, while refillable amenity dispensers, paperless processes and waste segregation systems help reduce everyday resource use.

Sustainable mobility is also supported through four electric vehicle charging stations, while eco-friendly chemicals are used across housekeeping, laundry and stewarding operations. Guests are encouraged to participate through linen reuse programmes, environmental awareness messaging and QR-code access to the hotel’s sustainability objectives and policies.

Millennium Al Masar Hotel Jeddah has achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification and Green Key recognition, alongside regional acknowledgement for sustainability initiatives. Future plans include eliminating single-use plastic bottles and introducing a rooftop organic garden to support seasonal, locally grown produce. Together, these measures position the hotel as a strong example of how technology, operational discipline and guest engagement can advance sustainable hospitality without compromising comfort or service.
