L’Occitane en Provence, certified B Corp™ since 2023, places environmental sustainability at the heart of its hospitality offering. In 2026, the brand was recognized by the International Sustainability Awards for its measurable reduction of plastic waste and leadership in circular packaging solutions for the hospitality industry. Guided by internationally recognized frameworks including the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy Global Commitment, the Maison continues to advance responsible innovation across the global hospitality sector.

As a certified B Corporation™, L’Occitane en Provence is committed to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and continuous improvement. Sustainability commitments extend across sourcing, formulation, packaging, manufacturing, and climate action, supported by long-term producer partnerships, circular economy principles, and responsible operational practices designed to reduce environmental impact while preserving product quality and sensorial excellence.

Backed by more than 25 years of hospitality expertise and a strong global retail presence, L’Occitane en Provence develops premium amenities with the same standards, ingredients, quality, and formulation care as its retail collections. Hospitality formulas contain at least 92% biodegradable ingredients for rinse-off products and a minimum of 80% ingredients of natural origin, while iconic ingredients such as lavender, shea, Provençal almond, and verbena are sourced through fair-trade partnerships that support sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

Circularity is a key pillar of the brand’s hospitality strategy. Having introduced refill solutions as early as 2008, L’Occitane en Provence continues to expand its range of refillable products and eco-designed dispenser systems to help hospitality partners reduce reliance on single-use plastics. Between 2018 and 2025, the Hospitality division reduced plastic usage across its assortment by 68%, representing approximately 500 tons of plastic saved through the transition from single-use amenities to dispenser and refill solutions.

Environmental responsibility extends throughout the company’s operations. L’Occitane en Provence uses 95% renewable energy across its manufactures and sites worldwide and continues to invest in initiatives that reduce resource consumption, including innovative water-recycling projects that significantly decrease freshwater use. The brand also supports biodiversity conservation and carbon-reduction initiatives through long-term investments in projects that help avoid or sequester carbon emissions while delivering positive impacts for ecosystems and local communities.

From Haute-Provence to luxury hospitality destinations around the world, L’Occitane en Provence creates trusted guest experiences inspired by nature, sensorial excellence, and responsible innovation. Guided by a philosophy centered on better-being, the Maison continues to strengthen meaningful connections between environmental responsibility, guest well-being, and luxury hospitality.
