L’atelier Fantasia has once again demonstrated its position among Asia’s leading luxury interior design studios by receiving the Luxury Lifestyle Awards title of Best Luxury Residential Interior Design in Taiwan, 2026 for its exceptional project, The Grand Inheritance. This latest achievement strengthens the studio’s remarkable Hall of Fame legacy, following victories for:
Founded by Idan Chiang, L’atelier Fantasia approaches interior design as a deeply personal art form, believing that every space should reflect the identity, values, and emotions of its owner. Drawing on her academic background in sociology, Chiang brings an exceptional understanding of human behaviour and spatial relationships to every project. Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics, the studio creates interiors where architecture, art, materials, and atmosphere work together to express individuality. This thoughtful philosophy has become the hallmark of L’atelier Fantasia, earning international recognition for its refined, elegant, and emotionally engaging luxury residential interiors.
The award-winning project, The Grand Inheritance, is a completed high-rise residence located in Taipei City, Taiwan. Finished in April 2025, the project transforms two separate apartments into a sophisticated multi-generational family sanctuary that celebrates heritage, privacy, and contemporary luxury. Inspired by New Classical design principles while embracing minimalist spatial planning, the residence balances timeless elegance with modern functionality.
A carefully designed central axis, anchored by a tranquil Buddhist room, separates public and private living areas while maintaining a natural sense of family connection. Generously proportioned gallery-style corridors, reaching up to 2.2 metres in width, create an impressive villa-like experience within an urban high-rise. The home also features museum-quality Danish vintage furniture, a professional climate-controlled oak wine cellar, an industrial-grade stainless-steel kitchen, and thoughtfully curated natural materials that reinforce the project’s emphasis on craftsmanship and longevity.
One of the residence’s most distinctive design decisions places the owner’s study, rather than the master bedroom, in the apartment’s most prestigious position overlooking Da’an Forest Park. This unconventional approach reflects the client’s appreciation for intellectual pursuits, contemplation, and lasting family values. Throughout the home, every detail has been meticulously considered to create a residence that is not only luxurious but also emotionally meaningful—designed to be treasured for generations.
