Benwu Studio is a dynamic powerhouse that creates playful and innovative nightclubs, merging historical evolution with modern social dynamics to shape a new era of nightlife experiences. Founded in New York City in 2012 by visionary designers Hongchao Wang and Peng You, the studio initially focused on material experimentation and craft research. 

In 2015, Benwu Studio expanded its horizons by collaborating with talented design partners, including interior architect Ge Wei, product designer Qiyun Deng, and exhibition designer Penglong Geng. This dynamic partnership transformed Benwu Studio into a multi-disciplinary design practice, excelling in product, interior, and set design. With bases in Shanghai and Beijing, the studio has established a global presence, working with esteemed clients such as Hermès, Vacheron Constantin, Cassina, Berluti, Mini, BMW, Baccarat, and many more. 

Benwu Studio’s recent endeavor, the BNS nightclub project, located at No. 8 Hengshan Road in Shanghai, covers approximately 1,300 square meters. This unique venue seamlessly integrates a gallery with a nightclub, offering visitors a distinctive experience where art exhibitions meet vibrant social interactions. The BNS is designed to foster connections and expand social circles, embodying the enduring spirit of parties, music, and art, even during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Through unconventional ideas and bold experiments, Benwu Studio continually redefines traditional nightlife conventions, blending design, art, fashion, architecture, music, and lighting.
