Aura Dezyne, an enterprising interior design firm led by Founder and Creative Director Payal Khanna, is renowned for transforming spaces into cultural experiences. This ethos was exemplified in their award-winning project, the “080 Domestic Lounge at T2, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru”, which earned them a Luxury Lifestyle Awards in 2024 for Best Luxury Commercial Interior Design in India.

The 080 Lounge, a new build project, was completed between March 2022 and December 2023. Designed to encapsulate the vibrant essence of Karnataka and the dynamic energy of Bangalore, the lounge offers travelers an immersive experience, merging local heritage with contemporary sophistication. Aura Dezyne’s concept for the space draws inspiration from the region’s cultural traditions, featuring artisanal creations and local culinary delights that create a soulful connection between travelers and the city’s rich heritage.

The client brief required Aura Dezyne to create a modern, elegant, and comfortable environment that welcomes socialization and relaxation. With sustainability at the forefront, the lounge integrates eco-friendly materials, indoor greenery, and responsibly sourced elements, creating a refreshing, nature-infused space. The design team expertly wove the region’s cultural spirit into the lounge while ensuring it maintained a sleek and sophisticated atmosphere.

Aura Dezyne’s contribution to the 080 Lounge was comprehensive, providing design strategy, product design, and detailed visualizations. Every element was carefully thought of, from furniture and fittings sourced from local artisans to landscape concepts and commissioned art stories. This attention to detail, coupled with a focus on sustainability, ensured the project exceeded expectations.
