Designed by the talented team at Legacy + Homes, this café has earned a Luxury Lifestyle Awards for Best Luxury Café Interior Design in Malta. Known for its ability to transform spaces, Legacy + Homes has quickly made a name for itself in the world of high-end architecture and interior design.
Founded in 2023 by Architect Jelena Markovic and Hon. Chev. Franck Massicard (CEO of Malta Solutions), Legacy + Homes brings a fresh, dynamic approach to interior design. Their work is characterized by a perfect balance of contemporary sophistication and warm, inviting aesthetics. The firm’s latest project, Bacio Nero, located in the Pendergardens Business Centre in St. Julian’s, exemplifies their signature style—a masterful fusion of functionality and refined beauty.
Bacio Nero’s design is a bold and luxurious take on modern café culture. The space features striking contrasts, such as deep black marble accented with gold veins, pure white marble, and natural wood elements that create a sense of drama while maintaining an inviting warmth. The café’s distinct cup-shaped furniture introduces a playful yet stylish element, reinforcing its atmosphere of comfort and exclusivity.
One of the most captivating aspects of Bacio Nero is its sculptural ceiling, a matte black canvas illuminated by over 200 meters of LED lighting, which creates a captivating glow visible from the street. Subtle gold accents, seen in chair legs, table edges, and wall art, add a touch of understated luxury, completing the space’s refined aesthetic.
Sustainability is an essential consideration in Bacio Nero’s design, with eco-friendly features such as energy-efficient appliances, LED lighting, and green climate control systems.
