Steeped in history, Gara Rock’s story began as a coastguard station in 1847 before its transformation into a celebrated hotel in the early 1900s. In the 1950s, it reopened once more as a hotel and underwent several expansions over the decades. In 2006, work began to transform the site into a resort, a vision brought to life when our current owners acquired it in 2016. Completely reimagined, Gara Rock today is a place where heritage meets modern luxury, a timeless haven on the edge of the sea.
