Godwin Austen Johnson is an international multidisciplinary design practice with a long-established presence in the Middle East and a portfolio shaped by regional knowledge, architectural expertise, and a strong understanding of how people experience the built environment. Established in 1989, the practice works across architecture, residential design, hospitality, education, heritage, and masterplanning, with projects throughout the UAE, the wider Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Nearly four decades of experience in the region have given Godwin Austen Johnson an informed perspective on the factors that influence successful architecture, from climate and cultural context to construction requirements, commercial priorities, and changing lifestyle expectations. Each project is developed through close collaboration with clients and stakeholders, bringing design thinking together with technical delivery and practical considerations.

This approach can be seen in Serenia Living, a luxury residential development on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Completed by the practice, the project was named Best Luxury Apartment Architecture in Dubai, UAE, 2026 by Luxury Lifestyle Awards.

Comprising 225 residences, Serenia Living includes two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments, penthouses, Luxury Residences, Design Residences, and Sky Mansions. Its waterfront location plays an important role in the architectural concept, with panoramic views across the Arabian Gulf, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai skyline. Subtle references to seashells, water, and natural formations appear through the façade, materials, textures, and surrounding landscape.

The residential environment extends beyond individual homes through an extensive collection of wellness, leisure, and social facilities. An 88-meter infinity pool, beachfront lounge, cinema, gym, training studio, spa facilities, children’s areas, and recreational spaces contribute to a lifestyle centered on comfort, privacy, and connection.
