World Luxury Day 2026 returns on October 8, bringing the international luxury community together for a global celebration of excellence, craftsmanship, innovation, sustainability, and the people who bring these values to life.
Established by the World Luxury Chamber of Commerce (WLCC), it was created as a dedicated moment for the industry to recognize its achievements, celebrate the people behind them, and open a wider conversation about the meaning and future of luxury.
“Luxury is ultimately defined by the people who create it, deliver it, and experience it. World Luxury Day gives the global luxury community an opportunity to put those perspectives into words and consider the values we want luxury to represent,” says Alexander Chetchikov, President of the World Luxury Chamber of Commerce.
The World Luxury Day Manifesto: A Collective Voice for the Industry
In 2026, that conversation extends well beyond October 8. In the weeks leading up to the Day, industry leaders, brands, media and luxury communities around the world are being invited to contribute their perspectives, launch their own activities and participate in a growing international dialogue around luxury.
One of the central initiatives of 2026 is the inaugural World Luxury Manifesto, which will be presented by the end of October.
Luxury leaders, entrepreneurs, creators and professionals from around the world are being invited to answer a deceptively simple question: What does luxury mean to you? They can share their perspective publicly using #WorldLuxuryDay and invite other members of the luxury community to continue the conversation. The deadline is October 8.
Selected contributions will inform the Manifesto, bringing together voices from across countries and sectors to explore how luxury is understood today and the values the industry wants to carry forward.

From a Day of Celebration to a Global Movement
The Day is increasingly becoming a season of activity rather than a single date on the calendar. Brands, media, industry organizations and professionals are encouraged to create their own conversations and activations in the lead-up to October 8, giving the initiative relevance across different sectors, markets and communities.
October 8 also marks the start of the Month of Luxury, a month dedicated to celebrating the people, craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation behind luxury. Throughout October, brands, creators, and communities worldwide are invited to take part through events, experiences, and special initiatives that bring the Month of Luxury to life.
At its core, this Day remains a celebration of the people behind luxury: the artisans preserving generations of savoir-faire, the innovators developing new ideas, the entrepreneurs and leaders building exceptional businesses, and the professionals responsible for creating extraordinary experiences every day.
On October 8, the international luxury community will come together around the four values at the heart of World Luxury Day: Excellence, Craftsmanship, Innovation and Sustainability.
