wonderstudio has been recognized by Luxury Lifestyle Awards as the 2026 winner in the category of Best Luxury Internal Architecture & Design in Portugal for SILHOUETTE, a residential renovation project in Lisbon.

Founded in 2016, wonderstudio is an architecture and interior design practice working across residential, commercial, hospitality, and office projects. The company brings together creative concepts and a design-build approach, with completed work in Portugal and Switzerland.

SILHOUETTE reimagines a Lisbon apartment dating from 1942 as a contemporary family home shaped by heritage architecture, practical living, and a refined design language. Located in Saldanha, the project preserves original elements including decorative moldings, archways, high ceilings, and herringbone timber floors while adapting the apartment to the needs of modern family life.

The renovation addresses an outdated floor plan, fragmented natural light, and the need for child- and pet-friendly materials without compromising the visual character of the interior. Intuitive circulation, concealed storage, multifunctional furniture, sculptural lighting, and bespoke furnishings create a coherent sequence of spaces. Emerald green, sapphire blue, and deep red tones are paired with marble, brass, solid timber, velvet, ceramics, and bold artworks to reflect the multicultural identity of the residents.
