EXPERIENCE THE WONDERS OF AN UNMATCHED ADVENTURE ON THE TOUR OF THE 4 DOLOMITIC PASSES

Embark on an extraordinary journey along the Tour of the 4 Dolomitic Passes, where you will encounter awe-inspiring peaks, breathtaking vistas, and exhilarating trails. Immerse yourself in the enchantment of the Dolomites and embrace the beauty of nature on an unforgettable expedition.

Located at the base of the Sella Massif, in the border region of Trentino, Veneto, and South Tyrol, known as the Sellaronda, this circular route takes you around the magnificent Dolomite rock formations.

Covering three provinces and spanning approximately 51 km, the Tour of the 4 Dolomitic Passes includes Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi, Passo Campolongo, and Passo Gardena. These remarkable locations offer cyclists the opportunity to conquer historic and challenging ascents. Prepare to immerse yourself in nature and witness landscapes unlike any other in the world.

EVENTS NOT TO BE MISSED DURING THE EARLY SUMMER TOUR OF THE 4 DOLOMITIC PASSES.

When discussing the Tour of the 4 Dolomitic Passes, it is impossible not to mention the Sellaronda Bike Day. This esteemed event, now in its 17th edition, allows cycling enthusiasts to complete the tour of the 4 passes without the presence of motorized traffic.

On June 24th, the Dolomites Bike Day, takes place, featuring a 51 km loop around Mount Lagazuoi, including three passes with a total ascent of 1370 meters. Cyclists of all levels, from beginners to seasoned riders, embrace the legendary roads that are often part of the Giro d’Italia.

The journey commences at Passo Falzarego, a climb connecting Cortina d’Ampezzo to the Alto Agordino area. With a length of just over 16 km, an average gradient of 5%, and a total ascent of 1119 meters, this ascent allows riders to appreciate the surrounding landscapes with manageable gradients. Next is Passo Valparola, a spectacularly short climb. Compared to Falzarego, it is noticeably briefer. The Valparola area treats cyclists to impressive rocky environments, sheer cliffs, and expansive rock formations. On the other hand, Passo Campolongo stretches only 6 kilometers, featuring an average gradient of 5% and a mere 307 meters of ascent. Its gradients are gentle, and the only potential challenge might be the sun exposure, which can make the route warmer than expected.

On July 2nd, it’s time for the Maratona delle Dolomiti, a competitive cycling race divided into three courses: the 138 km Maratona Course, the 106 km Medium Course, and the 55 km Sellaronda Course. The first course is the most demanding, starting from La Villa and passing through Corvara, taking cyclists to Passo Campolongo. The second course, slightly shorter, follows a similar path, while the third course is the easiest, covering only 55 km. The Sellaronda Course is non-competitive, without official rankings or awards.

These renowned events highlight the Tour of the 4 Dolomitic Passes. They allow countless individuals to revel in the landscapes and charm of these mountains, widely regarded as the most beautiful on Earth.
