Renaissance Santiago Hotel has been honored with a revered 2025 International Sustainability Awards, recognizing the hotel’s commitment to exemplary, innovative, and impactful sustainable business practices through strategic commitment, technology, and stakeholder engagement.

As one of the first hotels in Santiago, Chile, to receive LEED® GOLD Certification from the US Green Building Council, Renaissance Santiago Hotel has long been a pioneer in integrating sustainable initiatives into its operations. Since its certification in 2014, the hotel has continuously evolved its sustainability strategies, setting new industry benchmarks. Key initiatives include:

• Carbon Footprint Tracking & Compensation – Providing guests and event organizers with Carbon Footprint Certificates, helping them measure and offset emissions through sustainable projects certified by Verra.
• Community & Knowledge Sharing – Hosting monthly Green Drinks meetings, where employees, NGOs, companies, and sustainability enthusiasts gather to exchange ideas and best practices in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
