Located within Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda’s North Sound, The Reef Sampler Bar reflects a hospitality concept rooted in the sea and informed by the property’s long-standing identity. The Reef Sampler Bar is part of Bitter End Yacht Club’s renewed chapter following the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. Rebuilt with care and clarity of purpose, the venue carries forward the spirit of the destination while introducing a contemporary expression of beachside hospitality. Its beach bar tells a story that is distinctly Bitter End: The Reef Sampler, the property’s most senior fleet member, once went missing and was later found sunken at the bottom of the mooring field before being pulled ashore and thoughtfully reimagined. Now restored as a beach bar at the water’s edge, it deepens the venue’s character and its connection to the destination’s seafaring culture. 

Founded in 1969 and shaped by the Hokin Family, Bitter End Yacht Club has developed a lasting reputation among generations of travelers drawn to the British Virgin Islands for sailing, watersports, and community.
