Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo Wins International Sustainable Award for Leading Green Initiatives

 

Located down town Oslo, the iconic Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel has been awarded the prestigious International Sustainable Award. This acclaimed award reflects the commitment and continuous focus on sustainability, and responsible business that supports our people, communities and the planet. This program focuses on business ethics, supply chain sustainability, carbon footprint reduction, and employability programs to build better futures, all in line with the Radisson Hotel Group’s responsible business program.

Building on a long tradition in corporate social responsibility at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo which was the first hotel in Norway with an environmental certification (Swan Eco Label) awarded by the then Minister of Environment Mr. Børge Brende back in 2002. The Swan Ecolabel has since been replaced by the present Green Key Certification.

With 678 newly renovated rooms and suites offering breathtaking views of the capital of Norway, the hotel presents completely new restaurant venues, including The Top Restaurant, Bar, and its terrace, the highest outdoor terrace in Scandinavia, offering an al fresco experience 110 meters above the city. The hotel also offers 30 comprehensive meeting and events facilities, including the Sonja Henie Ballroom, (seating up to 1200 persons), The Munch room, as well as The Top Meetings facilities, the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel offers 100% carbon neutral meetings and has recently installed 120 EV charging points in the hotel garage which includes valet parking, sustainable car wash in a safe environment.
