The leading interior design and architecture studio in Portugal, Oficina Design , has been recognized by Luxury Lifestyle Awards for Best Luxury Apartment Interior Design for its Lisbon Collection House project. The award celebrates the studio’s skill in creating exceptional, high-end living spaces. 

Founded in 2000 by Maria Helena Martins and Mário João Martins, Oficina Design has established a reputation for its sophisticated way to develop interior design. The Lisbon Collection House project, a renovation of a historic 1920s corner building in the noble area of Rua Carlos Testa, exemplifies the studio’s ability to transform properties while respecting their history. The project involved a comprehensive redesign, including the restoration of intricate crafted wood and plaster ceilings, and the installation of a herringbone wooden floor with underfloor heating. 

The design of the Lisbon Collection House focuses on a luxury apartment experience in its intimate relationship with the user. It features an open-space suite, an oval bedroom with city views. There is a social open space that flows into a long living room. The dining room and bar with private balcony, where the window porches become a seating area, culminate in a kitchen with a center island .The use of custom-made structural furniture and a collection of pieces from top brands like Penta and Calligaris creates a unique and cohesive environment. A standout feature is the innovative two-space bathroom, including a spa-like area with chromotherapy and a guest sanitary space, both defined using 100% natural stone. 

The project also incorporates sustainable initiatives, such as a balanced thermal system with triple glazing and a heat pump to supplement underfloor heating, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to design.
