Msquare Design has been recognised by Luxury Lifestyle Awards for its refined design concept and skillful delivery of the private residential villa, Our Home, located in Hamala, Kingdom of Bahrain. The project received the coveted honour of Best Luxury Contemporary Villa Interior Design for Our Home in Bahrain, highlighting its sophisticated fusion of personal style and purposeful spatial planning.

Completed on 24 September 2024, Our Home reflects the unique design vision of its architect homeowners. The design carefully balances two distinct aesthetic preferences, a classic, wood-focused palette and a contemporary love of sleek marble surfaces. By aligning natural materials with thoughtful spatial arrangement, the villa achieves an effortless dialogue between modernity and warmth.

From the initial concept stage, Msquare Design placed significant emphasis on maximising natural daylight and crafting dynamic spaces that respond to the sun’s daily movement. Key functional zones such as the kitchen and bedrooms were strategically positioned to maintain privacy, while the living areas were conceived as interconnected spaces offering fluid circulation and a calming sense of openness. One of the most distinctive features is the double-height sculptural staircase, fashioned from richly veined marble, which rises as a bold focal point and defines the character of the interior.

Alexander Chetchikov, President of the World Luxury Chamber of Commerce, praised the achievement, stating: “This win reflects an intelligent and beautifully executed design that speaks to both function and artistry. ‘Our Home’ demonstrates how contemporary living space can be made deeply expressive and highly livable.”

Lead designer Masooma Groof added, “Our intent was to create a space that feels calming and personal, while expressing the owners’ passion for design. The harmony between material, light, and proportion was central to the entire concept.”
