Nikken Sekkei FZ-LLC, a creative design studio in Dubai, part of the Nikken Sekkei Group , has been awarded a Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2025 for Best Luxury Resort Architecture for its design of SORA Beach Residences, a landmark development on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Fadi Jabri, CEO of Nikken Sekkei FZ-LLC Dubai, describes SORA as a fluid form gracefully embracing the Gulf’s azure waters. Its cascading balconies mirror the rhythm of the waves, where tectonic volumes converge with coastal elegance—a sophisticated dialogue between architecture and nature.

The design evolved through a rigorous, iterative process, ultimately achieving its award-winning form—a meticulously crafted composition that harmonizes architectural expression with the surrounding seascape.

SORA Beach Residences is conceived as a dialogue between sea and sky, embodying both openness and serenity. Every home within this iconic development opens to uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf, with cascading terraces that not only define the silhouette but also bring natural light and breezes into daily life. The vision and execution of this landmark development were made possible by the dedication and expertise of the project team, including Fadi Jabri, Hitan Pankhania, Maghi Alkhen, and Nikhil Rajan.

The development spans more than 1.8 million square feet and features a striking 18-storey design that integrates over 50 luxury amenities.
