AODA Interior Design has been honored with a Luxury Lifestyle Awards for Best Luxury Office Interior Design in Taiwan 2024 for their groundbreaking renovation of a 50-year-old residential property into their new design studio, AODA. This transformation highlights the focus of AODA Interior Design to blend Eastern beauty with modern design, creating spaces that reflect culture, enhance well-being, and maintain a deep connection to tradition.
Originally a non-commercial space, the property posed several challenges, such as outdated layout arrangements. AODA removed multiple partition walls to enhance circulation, revamped the kitchen into a staff lounge, and replaced the front gate and solid fence walls to foster a more welcoming atmosphere. Collaborating with Green Humor, a local landscaping studio, AODA transformed the front porch into a lush, zen-like retreat filled with oriental-style plants, setting the tone for a natural and peaceful workspace.
The project embodies AODA’s belief that interior design is more than aesthetics—it is about influencing emotions and improving the quality of life. By drawing inspiration from their family history, childhood memories, and cultural experiences, the design team blended vintage elements with modern aesthetics. The result is a serene, nature-infused office environment that showcases Taiwan’s inclusiveness and diverse cultural appeal.
The interior design is a delicate mix of dark tones, wood, and brass, evoking a sense of Eastern imagery, while cool tones and curved elements add a contemporary feel. Traditional Chinese features, such as a round window framing outdoor views, integrate the building with the local community. Inside, lantern-inspired lighting, glass tabletops, and permeable iron cabinets balance privacy, openness, and energy efficiency.
AODA partnered with Green Humor and used eco-friendly materials such as non-toxic wood oil and chose to preserve the building’s original textures, showcasing AODA’s dedication to the environment.
This award-winning project represents AODA’s core philosophy of blending modernity and tradition, East and West, and culture with sustainability. This approach celebrates Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage while shaping a future that connects people, space, and nature.
“We are truly honored to receive this award, as it reflects our team’s efforts to create modern interior designs that also honor Taiwan’s traditions. Thank you to our clients, partners, and Luxury Lifestyle Awards for recognizing our work.”
