Since its inception in 2010, Le Jadis has embedded sustainability into every facet of its operations and design. Constructed predominantly from long-lasting, low-impact natural materials, including hand-cut stone, marble, rattan, and solid timber, the resort significantly extends refurbishment cycles, reducing embodied carbon emissions while maintaining timeless aesthetic appeal. Across all guest suites, villas, and wellness facilities, water heating is powered entirely by rooftop solar systems, complemented by energy-efficient lighting and sensor-activated climate controls.

An on-site reverse osmosis bottling facility transforms raw seawater into premium still drinking water served in reusable glass bottles, eliminating an estimated 48,300 single-use plastic bottles annually. Indigenous xeriscape gardens, irrigated with over 75% recycled greywater, safeguard Mauritius’ endemic flora while conserving approximately 5,475 m³ of potable water per year. Further measures include the elimination of plastic straws in favour of biodegradable alternatives, with forthcoming initiatives encompassing UV pool sanitisation restoration, a dedicated Coral Lab by 2027, and the installation of a photovoltaic system capable of producing 1,200 kWh of clean electricity daily.
