Kering Appoints Gianfranco D’Attis as CEO of Alexander McQueen

Article provided by Temasek Post

French luxury group Kering has appointed Gianfranco D’Attis as chief executive officer of Alexander McQueen, effective June 3, as the company seeks to strengthen the British fashion house’s brand positioning and improve financial performance.

D’Attis will report to Kering CEO Luca de Meo and will be based in London. He succeeds Gianfilippo Testa, who will leave the group later this year.

Kering said D’Attis brings more than 25 years of experience in the luxury sector, most recently serving as CEO of Prada. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at LVMH and Richemont across Asia, the Americas and Europe.

The appointment comes as Alexander McQueen enters a new phase focused on sharpening its market positioning through a more disciplined operating model, including streamlined collections.

D’Attis will lead the next stage of the brand’s development with a focus on strengthening brand clarity.

“I am very pleased to welcome Gianfranco to Kering,” de Meo said in a statement, adding that D’Attis’ experience in brand development and operational execution would be instrumental in unlocking the fashion house’s growth potential.

Kering, which owns luxury brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen, generated revenue of €14.7 billion in 2025 and employed about 44,000 people worldwide.
