Huete Arquitectos has earned the title of Best Contemporary Public Services Architecture for Pabellón Municipal Sergio Scariolo in Málaga, Spain by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards. This dynamic public project reflects over 20 years of architectural expertise from Gustavo and Fernando Gómez Huete and their dedicated team, bringing together functionality, environmental responsibility, and a lasting impact on the community.

The pavilion spans 4,300 square meters and includes a versatile sports court accommodating various configurations—from basketball and handball to volleyball and futsal—plus classrooms, group and referee changing rooms, a gym, a medical room, and spectator seating for 759 people. It also features 81 parking spaces, including accessible bays and EV charging readiness.

Built on a plot designated for civic sports use, the facility integrates green energy through photovoltaic panels and uses an advanced air-to-water heat pump system for hot water. Its architectural orientation and thermal envelope ensure efficient energy use year-round.
