Further solidifying its position as a premier destination for business and leisure travel, the City of Carmel has announced a major expansion of the award-winning Hotel Carmichael. This strategic project is part of a public-private partnership with Pedcor Companies and is being developed with no new funding from the City or taxpayers, underscoring Carmel’s innovative and fiscally responsible approach to urban development.

Situated in the heart of the vibrant Carmel City Center and a proud member of Marriott International’s prestigious Autograph Collection, Hotel Carmichael has consistently set the benchmark for luxury hospitality in Indiana. Since its grand opening in 2020, the property has enjoyed rising occupancy year over year.

In response to the hotel’s remarkable success, a significant expansion is now underway and scheduled for completion in fall 2026. Pedcor Companies is fully funding the development, which will be seamlessly integrated into the new Wren building at Carmel City Center. The addition will bring 60 new guest rooms, including nine double rooms, 30 king rooms, and 21 suites—three of which will be opulent presidential suites. The expansion will also include a new 2,052-square-foot ballroom, ideal for receptions and galas, and a 913-square-foot executive boardroom equipped for high-level business meetings.

Mayor Sue Finkam emphasized the project’s impact: “The Hotel Carmichael is one of our state’s foremost hotel properties, and Carmel’s appeal to business and leisure travelers will grow exponentially through this exciting development.”
