Located in Taiwan, this residence embodies a seamless fusion of modern aesthetics and subtle nods to traditional Chinese culture. 

Drawing inspiration from the homeowner’s collection of exquisite Ming Dynasty plum vases (Meiping), Essence crafted a haven of tranquility. The design revolves around the vase’s graceful form and the serenity evoked by a peaceful afternoon spent sipping tea. This core concept translates into a captivating visual narrative throughout the residence. 

Soft, curved lines define the entire space, echoing the silhouette of the Meiping vase. The living room boasts accents of pink jade, reminiscent of the vase’s coral decorations, exuding a sense of timeless elegance. A large, arced stone slab adorns the TV wall, a captivating marriage of Eastern color palettes and Western geometric principles. This touch of asymmetry adds a dash of modernity to the ambiance. 

The dining area features a unique rounded ceiling, symbolizing the family’s strong bond. Soft light bathes the large circular dining table, fostering a sense of warmth and togetherness. Meiping’s subdued color palette and natural materials create a calming atmosphere infused with hints of Chinese cultural mystique. 

Inspired by the traditional Chinese garden philosophy, the residence unfolds like a captivating story. Every vantage point reveals meticulously crafted details, from the foyer to the hallways and doorways, offering a delightful visual surprise. 

The homeowner’s prized plum vase collection isn’t the only source of inspiration. Essence incorporates minimalist Japandi elements to create a sense of spaciousness. The color scheme draws upon traditional Chinese art and gemstones, with Kyara-iron (aloeswood color) hues complementing the main jade white, resulting in a unique and sophisticated ambiance. 

Arched designs weave a cohesive narrative throughout the residence. Rounded facades and wall details enhance the flow of the space. Rounded edges on the faux ceilings cleverly conceal various structures and equipment, while beautifully designed arcs embellish the living room beams, adding visual depth.
