The awarded project, Urban Residence in Kifissia, Athens, represents a high – end private residential project redefining contemporary living through a refined architectural language that balances clarity of form with a deep sensitivity to its natural surroundings. Composed of interlocking volumes, the residence creates a dynamic interplay between solid and void, privacy and openness.

The design explores the relationship between horizontal and vertical planes, creating a layered spatial sequence that gradually reveals the residence from the street to the more private garden areas. Solid and void are carefully balanced to frame views, control light, and establish a hierarchy of spaces, while subtle shifts in alignment generate moments of tension and release within the overall geometry.

At the core of the design lies a strong emphasis on spatial continuity and experiential flow. Circulation is conceived as an architectural narrative, guiding movement through a series of thresholds, double-height spaces, and framed vistas that connect interior and exterior environments.

Designed to elevate the everyday experience of its inhabitants, the residence emphasizes spatial fluidity, functional elegance, and a strong connection to nature. Sustainability is integrated throughout the design, with passive strategies, green roof elements, and energy-efficient systems contributing to a reduced environmental footprint.
