The award-winning Modern Family Nest exemplifies this approach. Situated in the alpine village of Hinterglemm, the project transformed three separate holiday apartments into a unified, modern home. It balances thoughtful functionality with timeless materials and understated character, creating a living environment that is warm, intimate, and emotionally engaging.

Key features include a custom curved dining bench with concealed storage, a wooden ceiling that adds architectural intimacy, and a minimalist kitchen with premium appliances. Eßl’s use of natural materials like clay, stone, wood, and wool, along with integrated lighting and bespoke detailing, reflects her dedication to comfort, quality, and longevity.
