Awarded the title of Best Luxury Architecture (Single Residential Project) in Mexico, Casa Volcán showcases the firm’s commendable guarantee of exquisite designs and sustainable practices. 

Taller C7 Arquitectos was established in 2006 by the creative architect Guillermo Cruz Lopez Gallo, and since then, the company has been at the forefront of perfectly manifesting homes that combine sophistication with environmental consciousness. Casa Volcán, located in Volcán 43, Col. Jardines del Pedregal, Alcaldía Álvaro Obregón, Ciudad de México, is a re-imagination of the land’s history, culture, and natural beauty. Built upon the remnants of a previous structure, Casa Volcán pays homage to the dramatic volcanic origins of El Pedregal, a region famed for its rugged terrain and historical significance. 

“The project is a marriage of modern architecture and the golden era of El Pedregal,” says Guillermo Cruz Lopez Gallo, Managing Director of Taller C7 Arquitectos. “We aimed to honor the nobility and beauty of this unique landscape while incorporating sustainable practices into every aspect of the design.” 

From its inception on February 18th, 2024, Casa Volcán has been a labor of love for Taller C7 Arquitectos. By repurposing the existing structure and implementing energy-saving initiatives such as rainwater harvesting and solar panel-based electricity, the firm has created a residence that not only exudes luxury but also minimizes its environmental footprint. 

“Our goal was to create a home that not only delights the senses but also respects the environment,” adds Guillermo Cruz Lopez Gallo. “Casa Volcán is the perfect example of our dedication to sustainable architecture and quality.” 

Taller C7 Arquitectos has provided comprehensive services for Casa Volcán, from design and construction to interior design, and project management. The project is set to be completed in November 2024.
