BRIGHT Mediterranea has been selected as a winner of the Luxury Lifestyle Awards for Best Luxury Sustainable Villa Development for Vista Lago Residences in Marbella, Spain, recognizing the company’s design-led approach to creating contemporary homes that align luxury with measurable sustainability objectives.

Vista Lago Residences has applied for BREEAM certification at the “Excellent” level, reflecting BRIGHT’s commitment to an evidence-based framework that evaluates environmental performance and everyday wellbeing across energy efficiency, water use, materials, biodiversity, and more. In support of this ambition, the villas have been designed with advanced energy-saving systems, responsible material choices, efficient glazing, and water-conscious landscaping.

Planned innovations include an aerothermal heat-recovery system with intelligent control, photovoltaic installations for each villa, energy-efficient LED lighting, and ventilation with heat recovery to support indoor air quality while limiting energy loss. The development also integrates greywater and rainwater reuse for irrigation, supported by storage capacity planning and soil moisture sensors designed to reduce unnecessary water consumption.
