BoConcept To Launch Compact Living Inspired Capsule Collection

BoConcept thinks compact living with curated pieces inspired by small high-demand spaces.

Thinking small

The new capsule collection arrives at a time when demands on the home are at an all-time high. Office, gym, classroom, spa and more. Additionally, during times of lockdown, family members will share that space for an unprecedented number of hours per day. Add to the mix the rise of urbanisation, and its reduction of living spaces in cities, and the need for space-efficiency is more important than ever before.

BoConcept responds with a collection of curated designs for high-demand rooms. The collection includes refreshed bestsellers in new compact-living proportions; Taylor, a honed sofa bed with detachable components for easy transportation, and a new round module for the worldwide bestseller, the Indivi sofa. Below, the brand presents highlights from the collection.

Taylor sofa bed

With the success of the Indivi and Osaka sofa beds, and BoConcept’s innovative Xtra footstool-bed, the brand launches Taylor by Imola chair designer, Henrik Pedersen. The design offers a welcoming and visually comforting look, with generous cushion and armrests finished with soft curves. Bolster cushions allow flexible back cushion positioning, ideal for reading or breakfast in bed. The bed is engaged with the simple pull of a strap.

For ease of transportation, e.g. up a narrow apartment stairwell, BoConcept developed detachable backrest, armrests and front panel. All are easily reattached to the base mechanism via durable sliding brackets. Bedding can be stored in a matching concealed storage footstool, complete with casters.

Dimensions: (HxWxD) (sofa) 43.5/80x202x110/210cm; 43.5/80x222x110/210cm (footstool) 43.5x94x81cm

Eden pouf

Eden is a versatile and timeless essential for any home. The minimal form arrives in two easy-to-incorporate sizes. The design can be finished in any of the brand’s 120+ upholstery options, making it an easy way to add accents of colour. Use Eden as a coffee table, extra seat, footstool and more.

Dimensions: 40xØ45cm; 40xØ70cm

Indivi round lounge module

The Indivi sofa by Anders Nørgaard celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019, and the timeless design is consistently one of the brand’s bestselling selling sofas. As well as its minimal lines and lasting comfort, the secret of its success is its ever-growing array of customisation options. They include armrests, legs, upholstery details and modules. BoConcept adds another of the latter with the new round lounge module.

The module’s welcoming design creates more ways to sit and interact within the room, without requiring lots of additional square meters or dominating the space – welcome attributes for a compact space. And of course, like all Indivi sofas, it can be upholstered in the brand’s full range of fabrics and leathers.

Dimensions: (HxWxD) 68x126x152cm

Philadelphia coffee table

Philadelphia by Henrik Pedersen was launched in 2019, delivering a minimal yet statement coffee table. The design works around a pleasing configuration of open compartments, with the option to mix surfaces for added interest. Philadelphia’s original proportions made it ideally suited to large living rooms. BoConcept has now developed the popular design in a small size for the compact living segment. Reduced size without any loss of impact. This version of Philadelphia can be ordered in a dark and light colourway. Both feature surfaces in ceramic and lacquer, with brushed steel frame.

Dimensions: (HxWxD) 36x115x70cm

Augusta dining table

The Augusta table by Henrik Pedersen was a standout piece from the AW19/20 collection. It ushered in design direction characteristic of slim-line pipework legs, exposed construction details and organic curves. The original arrived in 230cm length, making it a design for large open dining rooms. Now BoConcept releases the popular table in a new 160cm length. The smaller design still includes a concealed extension leaf, adding 76cm of on-demand dining space. Augusta’s table top will come in both dark oak veneer and dark marble.

Dimensions: (HxWxD) 74.5×160/236x90cm
