This Tokyo-based design studio, renowned for its expertise in crafting luxurious commercial spaces, has once again set a new standard in the world of high-end hotel design. 

The award-winning Hotel Sosei Sapporo M Gallery embodies Design Studio Crow’s commitment to blending history, culture, and modern luxury. Located in the historic Sapporo Factory West Hall, the hotel pays homage to Hokkaido’s rich past, particularly the pioneering spirit that shaped the region and the early development of Japan’s beer industry. 

Design Studio Crow has masterfully encapsulated the “frontier spirit” theme within every aspect of the hotel’s interior. From the moment guests enter, they are greeted by a stunning art piece inspired by hops, symbolizing the beginning of Japan’s beer brewing journey. The lobby’s design is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese architecture and Western materials, offering guests an immersive experience that connects the past with the present. 

The hotel’s bar lounge, anchored by a fireplace reminiscent of a beer brewing kiln, provides a cozy, artistic setting that evokes the social gatherings of Sapporo’s early settlers. Meanwhile, the dining room tells the story of a young Japanese man’s journey to Germany to master the art of brewing, with design elements that reflect the process of beer-making. 

The guest rooms, whether Superior, Deluxe, or Suite, are a sophisticated fusion of Japanese and Western styles, offering comfort and luxury while subtly incorporating elements of Hokkaido’s natural beauty. Every detail, from the textiles to the color schemes, has been thoughtfully selected to enhance the guest experience and evoke a sense of historical significance.
