Argos in Cappadocia has been recognized by International Sustainability Awards as a Sustainable Initiative for Argos in Cappadocia – Sustainable Hospitality Program, acknowledging its leadership in sustainable hospitality through responsible resource management and heritage preservation.

Located in Turkey’s Cappadocia region, Argos in Cappadocia brings together the heritage of Uçhisar’s ancient monastic settlement with contemporary hospitality. Restored over 14 years, the hotel features 71 rooms and suites and is positioned within a setting shaped by historic tunnels, Pigeon Valley, and Mount Erciyes.

The hotel’s sustainability program began in January 2023 and reflects a holistic approach to environmental responsibility. Its initiatives include reduced plastic use in rooms, recycled paper products, eco-friendly materials such as cork coasters and wooden QR cubes, and organic composting that supports the production of natural fertilizer.

Argos in Cappadocia has also implemented an integrated water management system combining rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, and drip irrigation for its gardens. These practices support water conservation, responsible resource use, and biodiversity while respecting the heritage-sensitive character of the property.
