How do you start the design process with each client, and what is the most important part of your initial consultations?

The most important phase of the project is the start. Getting to know our client and understanding his lifestyle is an essential step to achieve the desired result. We conduct many casual meetings with our clients with a close look on their passions and interests. This is done through visual presentations, mood boards and material selections.

What has been the most complex design brief you have dealt with, and how did you provide a solution?

We will always face challenges in the design process. Setting priorities and focusing on the main target behind the project is the solution to any complex design brief.

What’s been the biggest trend within interior design in Qatar?

We have seen an evolution in the style adopted by the clients in Doha. Whereas classical style has always been a winner, we have seen a shift in the direction which is now towards the trend of luxury modern interiors.

If you had a ‘perfect project’, what would it be?

The dream of every designer is knocking down an old interior which obviously has potential but is in a very bad condition, and applying all the changes needed for an updated facelift or even a total new identity. The success of such projects has a lot do with an excellent partnership between the client and the designer.

Talk us through your most recent project.

The most recent project finished was an extension to a previously designed and executed villa. It’s an outdoor swimming pool with a gym and spa. The challenge was the duration of the project which is five month. Even though the world is going through a tough time in the resourcing and shipping materials due to the ongoing pandemic we manage to deliver the project on time and up to the clients’ highest specifications.

As your team grows, will you be taking on global projects?

We have executed projects global leave for 20 years now we have done projects in Paris, London, Ukraine, UAE, Bahrain, KSA, Jordan and Kuwait in addition to some projects in the Côte d’Ivoire.

Why do you think your clients choose Living Spirit, and what sets you apart from competitor companies?

As we are well known for uniqueness in the style and design we provide, clients turn to Living Spirit to execute their dream homes. We are well reputed for delivering turnkey projects where we customize furniture and interiors to fit our client’s most sophisticated tastes.

What do you have planned for the future?
