We spoke to the Director of Operations and General Manager, I Nyoman Prabawa, about the facilities and services the resort offers, what guests can expect from a stay there and why it stands out as an exceptional resort in the region.

LLA: How many categories of rooms do you offer, and what’s the difference between them?

INP: We have 5 different rooms category such as:

4. Premium Room with the infinity pools access
5. Villas with individual pool

LLA: Guest expectations are always high regarding accommodation in a luxury resort. Can you describe your rooms and suites and what makes them comfortable and luxurious?

INP: SereS Springs Resort and Spa Singakerta is blissfully nestled amidst verdant valleys, rivers, waterfalls, and terraced rice paddy fields.  And a sumptuous and sedate five-star getaway that is culturally inspired by the Bali’s ritual-rich traditions to deliver authentic and unique experience beyond compare. 

LLA: Exceptional service always makes any hotel stay even more memorable. Can you tell us about your service ethos and how you ensure the highest standards are always maintained?

INP: We hired well-trained associates who are ready to provide the guests with an intimate and personalized service that comes from the heart.  We believe in our associates who will work tremendously out-going in order to make sure the guests are happy and satisfied. 

LLA: How many staff do you employ, and where do you recruit them from?

INP: We came just back in business since April 2022 and the number of associates we have at this stage are 100, and we recruited almost 40% of our associates from the local community.  Even though they don’t have a hotel background, we are fully committed to train them to be an outstanding hotelier.  Therefore, we are hiring our associates based on attitude. 

LLA: For many people, the chance to enjoy delicious and imaginative dining is a key part of their holiday. How many on-site restaurants do you have, and what cuisine do they serve?

INP: We have 3 outlets such as Mulberry Place, the marketplace for all-day dining with exquisite selections from international cuisine, buffet-style displays of Indonesian, Balinese, Chinese Western, etc., Bell’aria Ristorante with the wood-brick pizza oven and other authentic Italian cuisine, and Caffe DarSini & Lounge that is a stylish rendez-vous for light culinary fares during the day, desserts and gelati for afternoon tea, espresso or cappuccino and live music in the evening. 

LLA: In-room dining is always popular for guests wanting the utmost privacy. Is this available, and what dishes can be found on the menu?

INP: Frankly speaking, in this recovery stage, and we just came back in April 2022 for business after 2 years, we provide our guests with a high-quality limited menu selections that is consisting mostly of an authentic Indonesian and traditional Balinese cuisine and some Western cuisine.  Once we reach to the stabilized level of occupancy, we will gradually increase the menu selections as what we have before the pandemic of Covid-19.  The good thing, about a limited numbers of menu selection is, we are able to focus on putting the best effort for our guests

LLA: Are casual dining opportunities available if guests don’t want a more formal experience?

INP: Our F&B outlets are more into casual rather than a formal experience.

LLA: What is the best time of year to visit your resort?

INP: Weather-wise, the best time to visit Ubud is during June-July-August-September. The weather in July & August (peak season) is sunny and very warm during the day, and generally clear and cool in the evenings.

LLA: Your resort is in the heart of Bali’s Ubud region. What can guests discover in the area immediately surrounding you?

INP: Ubud is a very unique place and is centrally located so it’s a great base to explore Ubud and the surrounding areas. Ubud village is rich in culture and has beautiful traditional arts, statues, temples.

LLA: Can you organize tailor-made excursions for your guests?

INP: Our dedicated team members will be happy to assist you to organize tailor-made excursions according to your needs.

LLA: Where do the majority of your guests come from?

INP: This year after the pandemic, the dominant guests are still domestic market, follow with USA, UK and France.
