A Interiors, an interior design services and consultancy based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have deservedly won a Luxury Lifestyle Awards in 2023 in the category of Best Luxury Residential Interior Design for their work on the Ammariyah Farm Villa. 

Established eight years ago, A Interiors has made a name for itself with its award-winning designs that maintain a balance between modern minimalism and traditional touches. This project was no exception. Anoud Bint Khalid, the designer who led this project, created a farmhouse that is both sleek without feeling stuffy; welcoming without feeling worn. The sheer scale of the interior is light and airy as the rooms stretch both outwards and upward. 

The use of natural materials was a key factor in why this project was chosen to win this award. The design team at A Interiors used all-natural materials to create a warm yet modern aesthetic. This allowed them to bring a ‘traditional with a twist’ feel to the villa. 

The interior of the farmhouse is characterized by its expansive scale with white walls and floors that let artfully selected pieces stand out.  Rich red carpets, woven palm baskets, and colorful hand-crafted goods are spread throughout the space, honoring the house’s Arabic roots. Expansive white couches and natural materials adorn the living and dining areas while hanging lanterns and basket lighting soften the traditional feel. 

Intricately carved ‘mashrabiyas’ span the walls, allowing light to filter into mesmerizing patterns, complimented by Sadu textiles draped across chairs. 

Palm trees loom discreetly inside, a nod to nature, respecting the environment as part of the design, and the overall design reflects Anoud’s ethos of merging old structures with new elements for a timeless style. 

The team at Luxury Lifestyle Awards was impressed by how well A Interiors achieved this perfect blend of traditional and contemporary elements in their design. They also noted how well it fits into its context as part of Riyadh’s desert edge while still maintaining its own unique identity within it.
