The designer introduces the concept of circle to balance the prism and sharpness in the space, and the decoration runs through the whole space in a symmetrical way. The staggered lava chandelier in the dining room shows the unique character of the space, while the colors of blue, red and yellow are the main colors of the space. Looking down from the middle floor, the three tables in the living room and dining room look like three masterfully crafted paintings.

Inspired by the classic Room 606 of the SAS ROYAL HOTEL in Denmark, the Egg Chair, a classic piece of furniture by Arne Jacobsen, is deconstructed to give the space a sculptural visual tension with natural and organic lines. The concept of CIRCLE is used as the core of the design of the whole space, which is the basis for the shape of the meeting area and the outlook of the furniture and decorations.

The three tables of tourmaline in the living room and dining room look like three masterpieces when viewed from the mezzanine level. The natural jade table top pattern is taken from tourmaline, the most precious gemstone in the world besides emerald, and is set in three tables made of jade. Through the reflection of the mirrored material, the light and shadow layer of the entrance is enriched, as if it is the opening of the space, implying the aesthetics of the space like an art temple.

Interior 350 m², living room void 6.8 M height. The dining table is made of 300 cm long special stone, containing natural tourmaline. The Savoir Beds, used by the Queen of England, are handmade and the mattress is made of a precious handful of wool from the horse’s tail to ensure breathability. The Egg Chair by Fritz Hansen is a classic piece of furniture from Danish designer Arne Jacobsen. The entrance table is designed independently by artist, Mr. Reding Ho.

The circle is the pivot of the space, integrating the materials, colors, light and art of the space. Using the open space, the dining area is designed with staggered chandeliers that fall downwards, using linearity as a metaphor for the vertical scale of the space and depicting the mood of a large pearl and a small pearl falling into a jade dish. The second floor of the lounge is also designed to match the characteristics of the space, using square furniture with low backs, so as not to obstruct the sky view that a villa in the sky should enjoy.

The study within the symbolic soft earth colors, combined with the artwork “Water, Moon and Sky Flowers” created by Taiwanese artist He Zhenghong based on a poem by Pei Hsuo from the Tang Dynasty, by reflecting on the mirror surface, allowing the creation of virtual reality inside and outside the room, and the circular shape of the entrance. In response to the carpet, KAWS’s street art shows the creative power of space diversity and inclusion, and embodies the tension of contemporary art.

The design team at Splendid Design explores the needs of living from a humanistic and sensual perspective, using the concept of classical works combined with the usual diffuse aesthetics to create a spatial mood and make the space poetic. The designer believes that whether it is a work of art or a sculpture, the ambience of the space can indirectly influence the attitude of the occupants.

During the design process, the team analysed the wood veneer and metal elements of the YABU design in the interior space, and incorporated 725 pieces of art deco and contemporary art, including the rarest 300cm long natural green tourmaline dining table. The team was able to complete the project in Beijing within a limited time frame of 60 days, using the international standard FF&E, setting a new record for completion time in a 108 development project, and achieving an international sales success.

The design combines the concept of the circle and symmetrical forms, through natural and organic lines, rounded furniture and furnishings and natural materials, to present the diversity of the space, giving it a sculptural visual tension. The lava chandeliers are the beginning of the restaurant’s unique character, with a colour palette of blues, reds and yellows, and the inclusion of Danish design master Arne Jacobsen’s classic furniture, The Egg, echoing the natural and colourful green tourmaline, symbolising the timelessness of frozen time 108.
