The Lázaro Rosa Violán Interior Design Studio is responsible for top-class designs for restaurants, hotels, shops, and private residences. The studio now wears the Luxury Lifestyle Award for Best Luxury Commercial Interior Design for Rocco Restaurant in Portugal.

As a child, Rosa Violán was exposed to the world of fine arts and became fascinated with design. From the age of 8, he was already a flourishing artist. He later was presented with the opportunity to design a restaurant on the Balearic Island of Formentera. The then artist, come architect, continued to design a chain of restaurants in Barcelona, Madrid, and, eventually, got to be known all around the globe.

The LRV Studio consists of over 100 professionals of 11 different nationalities, with projects scattered over cities of South & North America, Asia and Europe. The architectural studio began at a textile factory in the modernist Eixample district of Barcelona. The ethos behind the studio is to combine contemporary with the traditional resulting in a comfortable home ambience with a sense of history.

The studio incorporates items into its projects like pieces of a puzzle. All of these items could easily be mistaken for pieces that belong in a museum or artifacts. Each piece is meticulously contemplated for its role within the design of the space.

Lázaro Rosa Violán Interior Design professionals follow a design journey as depicted by Lazaro himself. Features of his design include a moody color palette, intricate lighting, detailed tiling, floral accents, and rich metallic trim. Various finishes are boldly combined and by doing so, stretch the boundaries of architectural norms.

About the Rocco Restaurant

The Rocco Restaurant is rich in every sense of the word. It does not intimidate, instead, the red carpet somehow draws one into the intriguing space. One feels like an instant film star or royalty – whichever is preferred. The colors are rich, the patterns are rich, and the culture is rich. The experience will not tire, even with multiple visits and in all likelihood, you will also not discover all there is to see as there are three distinctly different realms in this space. The trio has been dubbed the Rocco Universe.

Gastrobar

A more casual experience can be had in this space. The bar is luxuriously lined with liquor from all four corners of the globe. Tapas are served at any time of the day to complement your refreshment. The bar offers various types of seating to cater to the mood.

Crudo Bar

The Crudo Bar can be described as less fine and more festive than the other two parts of the Rocco Universe. The somewhat more refined and less fancy space shows what some might term nautical hints in the design. These fresh feelings spill over into the sea and land mixed menu.

Ristorante

This restaurant offers Italian dishes in an atmosphere that could be described as fine dining. Every detail of the restaurant has been meticulously planned, from the custom typography on the crockery to the way that the interior flows out into the leafy alfresco exterior.
