1. Datin Mak’s Residence, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Project Description: Datin Mak’s Residence is a luxurious 3-storey bungalow, spanning 7,585 square feet, meticulously designed to reflect the values and lifestyle of the Mak family, prominent developers in Malaysia’s property industry. The residence, characterized by exceptional workmanship and meticulous detailing, embodies the family’s faith-driven, uncomplicated approach to life while offering modern comfort and elegance. OD&A provided design consultancy services, ensuring that the home aligns with the family’s desire for simplicity and quality. 

Sustainable Initiatives: The project highlights green sustainability with the inclusion of the “BOND” pendant light by Sans Souci in the dining area, featuring a nano-coating that reduces energy loss and aligns with the family’s eco-conscious values. Additionally, the home embraces natural light and ventilation, promoting well-being. 

Interior Fittings & Furniture: OD&A collaborated closely with trusted local industry partners to supply and fabricate all interior components, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that supports the local community. 

2. Diana Yap’s Residence, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Project Start Date: March 2022 

Project Completion Date: July 2023

Project Description: Diana Yap’s Residence is a stunning 6,832 square-foot, three-story home that underwent a remarkable transformation. Originally an unoccupied and visually outdated property, OD&A revitalized the space by incorporating unique metal design features, Nordic design principles, Feng Shui elements, and child safety measures. The result is an inviting, aesthetically pleasing space that effortlessly combines the family’s expertise in the steel industry with innovative design. 

Sustainable Initiatives: OD&A emphasized green sustainability by repurposing and recycling materials, notably recladding the main door from the previous house. This approach reduces the demand for new materials, supporting eco-conscious principles. 

Interior Fittings & Furniture: OD&A collaborated with trusted local industry partners to supply and fabricate all interior components, ensuring top-tier craftsmanship while supporting the local economy. 

3. East Residence, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Project Start Date: October 2021 

Project Completion Date: January 2023

Project Description: East Residence is a luxurious 4-story townhouse located within the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC). Spanning 5,466 square feet, this residence was transformed into a bespoke living space that harmoniously merges heritage, comfort, and style. The project showcases the client’s Peranakan heritage and local Penang art collection, creating a unique home that reflects their deep connection to nature and cultural roots. 

Sustainable Initiatives: The design embraces natural light and ventilation throughout the home, promoting well-being. Additionally, several pieces of furniture from the client’s previous home were thoughtfully repurposed, blending sustainability with personal history. 

Interior Fittings & Furniture: OD&A collaborated with local industry partners to supply and fabricate all interior components, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and supporting the local community.
