Hoverfly has opened a new operational hangar in Casoria, strategically positioned alongside Naples International Airport – Capodichino, extending the company’s presence across Italy.

The Facility 

The new site covers approximately 900 square metres of covered space, plus offices, and includes a certified helipad for landing, take-off, parking and ground handling operations. The complex also has a dedicated Jet A1 refuelling point for the Hoverfly fleet.

The hangar is already operational and currently houses part of the fleet, allowing the company to streamline aircraft availability and respond more quickly to client requests on routes connecting Naples, Campania and the main destinations across Central and Southern Italy.

The size and layout of the space also allow it to accommodate helicopters in the Leonardo AW139 class. Storage and parking will, in time, be joined by maintenance and technical support services for both Hoverfly aircraft and third-party operators.

Beyond Hangarage: What Comes Next 

The Casoria base is more than a logistics expansion — it marks a further step in Hoverfly’s industrial and organisational growth.

The site is set to be progressively brought within the company’s certifications, as it is equipped with both offices and training classrooms. Hoverfly plans to extend its operational approvals to additional helicopter types and expand its Part-145 certified activities at the new base, building a hub that brings together flight operations, hangarage, technical support and maintenance.

Faster Connections from Naples 

Proximity to Naples-Capodichino Airport improves aircraft availability and streamlines mission planning.

The new base allows Hoverfly to offer a faster, more flexible service to clients travelling to Capri, the Amalfi Coast and other key destinations across Central and Southern Italy, while establishing a stable operational presence in one of the areas of highest demand for helicopter transport.

Dedicated offices also mean operational, technical and passenger and pilot support can now be managed directly from the new site, ensuring continuity and coordination at every stage.

From Milan-Bresso to Naples-Casoria 

The new hangar joins Hoverfly’s Milan-Bresso base, already an established point of reference for the company’s operations in Northern Italy, where Hoverfly serves Milan and the main northern destinations, supporting executive and business travel.

The Casoria investment confirms Hoverfly’s commitment to strengthening its presence across the country and steadily expanding the operational and maintenance capabilities available to clients.

Through a growing network of bases, hangars and technical infrastructure, Hoverfly is building fast connections across Italy, high safety standards and a complete service spanning passenger transport, operational support, hangarage and maintenance.

The new Naples-Casoria hangar is a further step in the company’s development — part of building a national helicopter platform that is increasingly modern, efficient and responsive to client needs.

This progress is underpinned by a solid framework of certifications and approvals, including the Air Operator Certificate (AOC IT.AOC.0167), the CAMO approval (IT.MG.0167) for continuing airworthiness management, the EASA Part-145 maintenance approval (IT.145.0377), the Approved Training Organisation qualification (ATO IT.ATO.0098), recognition as a Leonardo Maintenance Service Provider, the Helicopter Offshore Operations (HOFO) approval, the UNI ISO 9001 quality management certification and the UNI/PdR 125 gender equality certification.
