Leading a prestigious property like President Palace Hotel Bangkok allowed me to immerse myself in every aspect of hotel management, from pre-opening activities to rebranding efforts. This experience ignited my passion for operational excellence and strategic planning, setting the stage for my future leadership roles. 

LLA: Your tenure at The Continent Hotels Group marked a significant shift from traditional 5-star concepts to lifestyle hotels. Can you elaborate on this transformation and its impact on the hospitality landscape in Thailand? 

ZB: At The Continent Hotels Group, we recognized the changing preferences of modern travelers and saw an opportunity to redefine luxury. We shifted our focus from traditional 5-star concepts to lifestyle hotels, offering guests unique and personalized experiences. This innovative approach not only set new standards but also positioned us as trailblazers in the industry, reshaping the hospitality landscape in Thailand. 

LLA: What inspired you to lead this transformation, and what were some of the challenges you faced along the way? 

ZB: The inspiration behind the transformation stemmed from a deep understanding of consumer preferences and market trends. However, transitioning from traditional luxury to lifestyle hotels posed its challenges, particularly in striking the right balance between luxury and contemporary design. It required meticulous planning, creative branding, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that our hotels exceeded guest expectations.

ZB: As Chief Operating Officer at RevPi Co, I spearheaded efforts to optimize revenue streams and maximize financial performance. One of our most notable achievements was the development of an advanced platform for finance and revenue management. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and data-driven strategies, we were able to enhance revenue streams and drive profitability across our portfolio of properties.
