Recognized as the Founder of Eleonora Gentile Luxury Hair Spa, a two-time Luxury Lifestyle Awards winner in the Luxury Hair Spa Sector in Italy, Eleonora Gentile has built a distinctive vision for luxury hair, scalp, and facial well-being. A respected educator for more than 15 years, she has trained professionals for leading multinational companies, participated in major industry events including Cosmoprof, worked backstage at fashion shows and photo shoots, and collaborated with product development teams on the creation of new professional solutions. Through her dedication to personalized care and her belief in the principles of slow luxury, she has transformed a pioneering concept into one of Italy’s most distinctive luxury hair spa destinations. In conversation with Alexander Chetchikov, President of the World Luxury Chamber of Commerce, she discusses craftsmanship, innovation, and the future of luxury well-being.
Alexander Chetchikov: As the founder of Eleonora Gentile Luxury Hair Spa, your career has spanned education, product development, and hands-on artistry. What experiences have had the greatest influence on the philosophy that guides your company today?
Eleonora Gentile: My philosophy has been shaped by more than four decades of working closely with people, hair, and the world of beauty. Education, product development, and hands-on creative artistry have taught me the importance of continuous learning and the ability to evolve. The deepest influence, however, has come from the direct relationship with each person I have cared for. Every guest has taught me that beauty is never abstract: it is connected to identity, emotions, needs, and the way a person wishes to feel. Over time, I understood that true excellence is not only technical: it lies in the ability to listen, observe, touch, and understand the real needs of each guest. Every experience must begin from that uniqueness.

AC: You introduced Italy’s first luxury hair spa concept. What inspired you to create a model that differs so significantly from the traditional salon experience?
EG: The original concept was born from Roberto Finardi’s strategic vision. He felt that the traditional salon model no longer reflected what a truly demanding luxury clientele was looking for. The idea was not simply to offer excellent hair services, but to create a different way of experiencing beauty and well-being: slower, more private, more personal, and richer in meaning. My role was to bring this vision to life through my hands, my creativity, and my professional expertise. We wanted to move away from speed, noise, and standardization, creating a place where each guest could access exclusive experiences, feel listened to, protected, and cared for in a completely new way, at a slower rhythm and in a softened atmosphere where they could reclaim their own time.
AC: The SPA Experience Concept has become central to your identity. How would you describe the principles behind this philosophy, and why do they resonate with today’s luxury clients?
EG: The Spa Experience Concept is based on a vision of luxury founded on slowness, authenticity, quality, privacy, and meaningful human connection. In a world that moves faster and faster, we believe that true luxury is the time we dedicate to ourselves. This is why our guests do not come to us only for hair and facial care services. They come to experience a continuous ritual, from the first moment of welcome to the final detail of care, where time, atmosphere, listening, protection, and attention become part of the same journey. For us, the aesthetic result is essential, but the experience itself is just as important. It is what transforms beauty and well-being into something deeper, more personal, and truly memorable.

AC: Throughout your career, you have educated professionals, participated in international industry events, and worked backstage at fashion shows and photo shoots. How have these experiences shaped your understanding of excellence in the beauty sector?
EG: These experiences have taught me that excellence in beauty is never improvised. It requires culture, preparation, consistency, sensitivity, and the ability to remain open without losing one’s identity. Teaching professionals and working in high-level creative environments helped me understand that the value of beauty is not measured only by the final result, but also by the principles behind every choice. At the heart of all this, there has always been the same great passion: helping people feel more beautiful, valued, and confident. Today, this is what I bring into my work: technical mastery guided by vision, a refined sense of beauty, and the constant search for a result that reflects the authenticity of each person.
AC: One of your distinguishing qualities is your highly personalized approach to each client. How do you balance professional expertise, individual needs, and contemporary trends when advising guests?
EG: Personalization is never a formula. It begins with the ability to read the person beyond the immediate request: their presence, lifestyle, personality, and the image they wish to project. A beautiful result is not enough if it does not feel coherent with the person who wears it. Trends can be inspiring, but they acquire value only when they respect the identity and needs of each individual guest. My role is to interpret them with sensitivity and professional vision, creating a result that enhances the person in an authentic, elegant, and deeply personal way.

AC: Innovation continues to play an important role in the evolution of your company. What motivated the creation of The Spa Experience Method, and what does it represent for the future of your brand?
EG: Since the very beginning, our vision has been guided by the desire to create something truly distinctive. Innovation, expertise, and exclusivity have always been the pillars of Eleonora Gentile Luxury Hair Spa. The Spa Experience Method was created because we wanted our difference to become more than an intuition or an experience linked only to our salon: we wanted it to become a structured, protected, and teachable method. The Method is fundamental to the future of the brand. It allows us to take our philosophy beyond Florence, through the future development of our Academy and carefully selected international opportunities. It is the way we can share a new standard of luxury beauty and well-being internationally, teaching a different approach designed to achieve different results for guests seeking an extraordinary level of care and experience.
AC: Your product collection is inspired by Florence and developed around a strong sensory identity. How do you translate the character of the city into products and experiences that resonate with clients?
EG: Florence is not only the place where our brand was born; it is part of the sensory world we wanted to create. When we developed our product collection, we chose names inspired by iconic places in the city because each one could evoke an atmosphere, a memory, or a specific feeling connected to our experience. Each product is conceived as part of a sensory journey through Florence, where names, textures, fragrances, ingredients, and gestures work together to extend the ritual beyond the salon. For us, a product should not only be used. It should remind the client of an experience.

AC: Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important consideration within the luxury sector. How do you approach the relationship between environmental responsibility and luxury experiences?
EG: For us, sustainability is not only a consideration within luxury; it is part of our personal way of living and thinking. We believe in beauty and well-being that can deliver excellent results while respecting the guest, the environment, and the world we share. Roberto has always paid great attention to this aspect of the brand. This is why we chose glass packaging for our products, introduced innovative plantable product tags, and planted our first 20 trees in different parts of the world. These choices reflect our belief that even a small company can make thoughtful decisions and contribute to a broader vision of responsible luxury, where excellence, care, and sustainability evolve together.
AC: Looking ahead, what is your vision for the future of Eleonora Gentile Luxury Hair Spa, both in Italy and internationally?
EG: In Italy, our vision is to continue affirming the brand at the highest level of luxury within the beauty and well-being sector, through The Spa Experience Method, the innovation of products and services — always with a strong focus on sustainability — and by bringing to life one of our most important future goals: the creation of our Academy. Internationally, our ambition is to share our philosophy with carefully selected partners and projects around the world, always through The Spa Experience Method and, in the future, also through the Academy. We want to collaborate with those who recognize the value of time, care, excellence, innovation, and a truly distinctive vision of luxury beauty and well-being.
