JIXI Design Studio, a Taiwan-based interior design firm, has received recognition at the 2025 Luxury Lifestyle Awards for Best Luxury Contemporary Apartment Interior Design for its Bunny Roundness project—an inventive, people-focused living space located in Taichung City. The project’s warm atmosphere, family-centric layout, and safety-first concept demonstrate a deep understanding of how interior environments shape everyday life.

A Practice Grounded in Everyday Living

Founded in 2012 by Chief Designer Yu Cheng Wang, JIXI Design Studio approaches design from a human perspective. As the team explains, “We craft personalized, human-centric spaces. Our philosophy: good design is invisible, allowing you to naturally connect with and love your everyday environment.” With a background that blends creativity and environmental awareness, the studio offers services including concept development, material sourcing, lighting strategy, and full project supervision.

Bunny Roundness exemplifies this ethos, designed for a family with a young daughter, the space serves both current needs and future flexibility. This single-residential apartment was built from the ground up in 2024 with the goal of providing a safe, adaptable, and joyful environment.

A Home That Supports Growth

From its name to its playful interiors, Bunny Roundness introduces a sense of lightheartedness that never sacrifices practicality. The apartment’s most iconic feature is a two-meter-tall Miffy lamp, chosen not just for visual impact but also to set the tone for a home full of character.

Beyond aesthetics, the design centers around safety and movement. Rounded corners on walls, furniture, and surfaces help reduce the risk of injury. A circular, non-directional layout allows children to move freely through the space, turning the entire home into a flexible zone for play and exploration. The circulation plan avoids hard borders or fixed axes, a choice that enhances the apartment’s sense of openness.

Furniture was selected for its ability to evolve with the family. Storage is integrated throughout, providing visual simplicity and practical use. With no unnecessary partitions, the apartment remains open yet organized, an ideal environment for a growing child and a household that values togetherness.

Environmentally Responsible by Design

The project also prioritizes sustainable design. Rather than demolish existing partitions, JIXI focused on reuse and low-impact interventions. Materials were selected for health and durability: VOC-free water-based paints, skin-friendly textiles, and long-lasting finishes. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with natural daylight, reducing the need for artificial lighting and further connecting the home to its surroundings.

This thoughtful use of resources reflects JIXI’s forward-thinking stance—not only on aesthetics, but also on environmental responsibility and long-term liveability.

Recognition Rooted in Purpose

Beyond Luxury Lifestyle Awards, JIXI has also earned multiple design honors, including iF Design, Better Future Milan Design, and several Gold awards from both the Titan Property and London Design Awards. Each project reflects their consistent ability to translate lifestyle values into spatial design.
