Maison Brémond 1830 Upholds an Authentic Institution – a Premier Delicatessen

Maison Brémond 1830 pursues, on a daily basis, the vocation that they’ve had since the company’s inception –  to satisfy the palates of connoisseurs and defend a vision of gastronomy from the South, in all authenticity. Established in Provence, France in the 19th century, Maison Brémond 1830 is a luxurious delicatessen store, which today boasts 19 shops in France and 16 worldwide, plus 200 retailers. Their passion and dedication have earned the delicatessen a Luxury Lifestyle Awards in 2022, in the category Best Luxury Delicatessen Store in Provence, France.

Grocers, merchants, and confectioners, the Brémond family set up their delicatessen on the mythical Cours Mirabeau in Aix-en-Provence in 1830. In 1973, the Borrellys family took over the business. The emblematic Cours Mirabeau boutique moved to rue d’Italie in 1986, where it is still located today.

Maison Brémond was then taken over in 2015 by Olivier Baussan, where a new story began – that of a delicatessen committed to promoting Provençal and Mediterranean know-how, with the selection of local products, authentic, exceptional, and with unique tastes. Maison Brémond 1830 is now operational worldwide and has an exceptional e-shop.

The product offering that Maison Brémond has on offer includes olive oils, balsamic vinegars, truffles, salty groceries, organic groceries, sweet groceries, natural cosmetics, and kitchen accessories. They also have gourmet gift boxes available for purchase.

Olivier Baussan is the president of associations involved in the safeguarding of plant heritage, the revival of a rural economy respectful of a living land, sustainable development, animal welfare, biodiversity and agroforestry. Maison Brémond’s philosophy is to protect nature and the land and uphold tradition while providing incredible products.

Maison Brémond 1830 is part of a sustainable development and dynamic ecology approach concerned with biodiversity on the Provençal lands and around the Mediterranean. They are partners of the Act For Planet association, a partner of the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) of the southern region, and leaders of the France Pistache union, which strives to reintroduce the pistachios back into the territory.  The delicatessen also supports the Provence Lavender Safeguard Fund.

“We want to express our extreme gratitude to Luxury Lifestyle Awards for selecting us for this award. Our company has such a long, rich history, and we always strive to keep the traditions and practices alive, while providing our customers with original, top-quality products,” says Guillaume de Foucault CEO of Maison Bremond 1830.
