Lifestyle Management of the Ultra High Level

 

Today we are very delighted to speak to Raluca Cherciu, Co-Founder of Maison d’Lux, a Concierge / Luxury Lifestyle Management service in Ibiza, Spain. Among other things, we’ll talk about the peculiarities of operating on the highest level imaginable, the uniqueness and exclusiveness of Maison d’Lux, and their victory in Luxury Lifestyle Awards.

Raluca, first of all, let us say that we are very excited about this interview. Your company is a Concierge / Luxury Lifestyle Management agency. Could you tell us more about the services you provide?

We could classify our services into two categories:

Luxury Real Estate Sales & Investment Opportunities – during the low season. This is the time businessmen come to Ibiza to seal the big deals. That ranges from hotel sales, new developments or even infrastructure investments to government-backed project opportunities. We specialize in off-market deals.

We collaborate closely with key players in the luxury sector in Ibiza to promote and develop our beautiful island, which has established itself over the last few years as one of the hot spots for the luxury sector actors. The W Hotel, Nobu Hotel, Sublimotion – the most expensive restaurant in the world, Hard Rock Hotel, Montesol by Hilton, Dom Perignon, and Rolls Royce are among those companies.

During peak season, our operations switch almost entirely from sales & investments to Luxury Villa Rentals and Lifestyle Management, where we design lifetime lasting memories for our discerning clientele.

Raluca, you’ve mentioned before that Maison d’Lux is a “by invitation only” club. How exactly does this work? Does one apply to become a member and then awaits approval?

We have limited our membership to 200 individuals so that we can offer a truly personalized and impeccable service. Our members club is currently full, however we do have a waiting list which we prioritize based on recommendations/introductions from existing members. We aim at preserving the family feel that characterizes our members club, where in most of the cases our members ended up becoming also good friends of ours.

That’s very interesting! Undoubtedly, you work with some ultra-high-profile individuals. What are the main challenges / peculiarities of serving such clientele?

To be honest, Ibiza itself represents the biggest challenge when it comes to serving our members. Whoever visited Ibiza, will know what this means – if it were that easy, Ibiza wouldn’t be so special, and perhaps we wouldn’t be so in such high demand. You know how they say “difficult roads lead to beautiful places…”

To continue with this topic: having customers of this level calls for complete discreetness and integrity from all of your employees. How difficult is the recruitment process for you, and how long does the hiring normally take, given all the background checks you need to run?

This is indeed one of the main challenges of many business in Ibiza, given the fact that most of the work available is seasonal. It is difficult to recruit a very skilled worker. For us, of course it is even more complicated, because, as you mentioned, we need to ensure complete discreetness and integrity. That’s why our full-time and temporary staff, as well as any service provider we work with, has to go through an in-depth screening process and a handful of contracts to be signed prior to working with us.

For your unparalleled level of quality and service, Maison d’Lux got recognized by Luxury Lifestyle Awardsas the winner in the category of Luxury Concierge Service in Ibiza, Spain. What does this victory prove to you and motivate you to do?

It’s a wonderful way to start the new season and it obviously feels great to see that our work has been recognized internationally, despite the fact that we keep a very low profile and we do not invest in PR or Marketing.

We are proud to be able to share the winner podium with brands such as Chanel, Dom Perignon, Tiffany&Co., Ferrari and Rolls-Royce – most of which are also our exclusive partners in Ibiza.

Looking into the future: what new exciting / unique / extravagant services are you planning to launch in 2019?

There are obviously some things we cannot disclose, however, our members can look at an exciting summer ahead with a few new exclusive luxury brand partnerships that we’ve recently closed and that our clients will be able to enjoy as part of the membership perks. We are also having a big website upgrade as well as launching our Maison d’Lux smartphone app.

On top of this, we are also preparing a few very interesting private events including one for the blockchain & cryptocurrency world, a series of secret parties for the elite, as well as several very interesting projects alongside some of the biggest international TV channels.
