More than two decades ago, the architects and interior designers Melissa Corbett and Daniela Gauch founded the Studio Corbett+Gauch Architecture and Interiors, in Alphaville, São Paulo, Brazil, with the mission of adding value, solving challenges, and making clients’ dreams come true. The work of the two distinguished professionals has always carried their passion for architecture, dedication to their clients, and the sum of knowledge and experiences in their projects in all areas of architecture, whether residential, commercial, or corporate.

In 2023 the two professionals decided to establish their own, respective studios, and recognizing their combined work for Studio Corbett+Gauch Architecture and Interiors, as well as for their own studios, Luxury Lifestyle Awards awarded Melissa and Daniela the title of Best Luxury Residential Architect Studio in Brazil, 2024.

Melissa and Daniela, with their keen aesthetic sense and focus on contemporary architecture, strive for cost-effective solutions using modern creativity from project conception to final conclusion. They emphasize personal involvement throughout, relying on resourcefulness, confidence, and versatility to find groundbreaking solutions.

Their Studio views architecture as a multidisciplinary art, considering not just aesthetics but also functionality, sustainability, and legal aspects. They prioritize simplicity and sustainability alongside luxury, sophistication, and design.

Their portfolio highlights projects emphasizing design, well-being, feasibility, and refinement in a technical and timeless manner. They tailor each project to individual client needs, enhancing living and working spaces.

Though they embarked on different professional paths in 2023, their partnership’s success endures, evident in numerous architecture awards and 12 consecutive years as Outstanding Professionals. They believe the essence of good architecture lies in simplicity and pleasure, foreseeing these values as vital to the future of leading architectural and design firms.

Melissa (Mel) Corbett, graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Faculdade de Belas Artes of São Paulo in 1994, in Interior Design from the Escola Panamericana de Artes of São Paulo in 1993, and participates in lectures, congresses, courses, as well as fairs in Brazil and abroad to always be up to date with the new demands of the market. She maintains that “we can never stop learning.”

Today, at the head of her own Architecture Studio, Melissa focuses on valuing good architecture, seeking the details and individuality of each client, drawing on her technical and practical experience.

Daniela (Dani) Gauch graduated in Architecture from the University of Miami in 2003 and in Interior Design from the Escola Panamericana de Artes of São Paulo in 2008, and carries with her more than 20 years of experience in the area. In her new professional path, the architect and interior designer is at the head of her own architectural and interior design office with projects that have a direct connection to the features of architecture, always seeking a minimalist and sophisticated approach, without neglecting the uniqueness and functionality of the spaces, thus always imprinting her identity on the projects.

“My goal has always been to provide a complete service as an architectural concierge, providing a distinguished experience to clients throughout the design and construction process. My focus is to ensure that they live an exclusive, unique, and pleasurable experience,” Daniela says.
